The transfer window is closed for business until January meaning Manchester United are unable to sign any new players for Ruben Amorim. However, there is still the possibility of further outgoings.

United were busy up until the end of Monday night's deadline with goalkeeper Senne Lammens becoming signing number five in an £18.2million deal from Royal Antwerp. He joins Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon through the door at Old Trafford.

In an ideal world, Amorim would have a new midfielder to integrate into his squad with Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton both of interest. But a move didn't materialise, meaning Kobbie Mainoo has stayed put.

Rasmus Hojlund, Antony and Jadon Sancho all left the club to Napoli, Real Betis and Aston Villa respectively. With Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho leaving earlier in the window, United successfully navigated a tricky period of getting rid of members of their 'Bomb Squad'.

Despite the window in England and most of Europe's top divisions having closed, there is still the opportunity for the club to sell more players. Both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir face uncertain futures alongside Tyrell Malacia.

Lammens' arrival means Amorim now has a new option in goal. Neither Onana or Bayindir have impressed this season and could possibly be forced to watch the Belgium international come in and become the new number one at Old Trafford.

Bayindir has played all three Premier League games - conceding four goals - while Onana did not cover himself in glory against Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup. Despite clubs in Europe's elite not being able to make a move, there is still scope for the pair to secure moves out of England.

Scotland and Spain were operating until 11pm on Monday night with Portugal an hour later. The Dutch's Eredivisie's transfer deadline is later today - Tuesday, September 2 - at 11pm. The transfer windows in Belgium and Switzerland remain open until next Monday.

Turkish clubs have until Friday, September 12 with the likes of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce linked with United players in the past. Finally, the Saudi Pro League is open for business until Tuesday, September 23.
