Report: Everton rejected £40m bid for key David Moyes player

Iliman Ndiaye is a crucial figure in David Moyes’ Everton plans, but he could have left for an intriguing figure this summer.

Moyes has a very dangerous-looking attack now at Everton, and Ndiaye has shown he is a major part of the club’s future.

Since the Senegalese star signed for £16.9 million from Marseille in the summer of 2024, the winger has instantly become a fan favourite.

Ndiaye has an excellent connection with Jack Grealish, as the Scotsman has a blossoming partnership with the pair this campaign.

But The Friedkin group had to make a decision earlier in the window, as a club came with an interesting offer.

Everton rejected a £40 million Inter Milan bid for Iliman Ndiaye in summer transfer window

The 25-year-old is looking like one of the more threatening players in the Premier League so far this season, as he has already netted twice this campaign, scoring the first-ever league goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

His quality is once again being shown after nine goals last season, and this caught the attention of Champions League finalists Inter Milan.

Ndiaye was a name Inter liked during the window, but there wasn’t any noise of an offer being made.

However, The Athletic has now revealed that the Italian giants enquired about the winger, with an offer around £40 million stated, which the Everton hierarchy ‘immediately rejected’.

It’s unknown how much the Toffees value Ndiaye, but he’s certainly more than £40 million after his start to the season.

Everton also rejected Premier League approaches for Ndiaye, as the Blues chose not to make the star one of their biggest sales.

Iliman Ndiaye would have been Everton’s sixth biggest sale

The winger is clearly gaining attraction, and another campaign where he flourishes could see this only heighten.

Moyes might have to prepare for that next summer, as he could certainly go for much more than the £40 million stated.

If this were to be accepted though, Ndiaye would have become the sixth biggest sale in the club’s history.

Romelu Lukaku £75 million

Richarlison £50 million

Amadou Onana £50 million

John Stones £47.5 million

Anthony Gordon £45 million

Iliman Ndiaye £40 million

Idrissa Gana Gueye £30 million

Everton’s biggest ever sales if Iliman Ndiaye joined Inter Milan

Although it’s worrying that the winger is on many clubs’ radars, the Senegalese international seems happy on Merseyside.

After his first season, Jamie Carragher called Ndiaye ‘fantastic’, and following his start to this campaign, the winger is only getting better.
