There were positives to take from Wolves’ most recent Premier League loss against Everton.
The game wasn’t short of entertainment, with both sides looking better in attack than in defence.
Everton’s new star man, Jack Grealish, has hit the ground running on Merseyside, already totting up four assists in the Premier League. Two of those came at Molineux on Saturday, as Grealish earned a second straight Player of the Match award.

After the game, the former Man City winger congratulated one Wolves substitute on a brilliant performance from the bench.
Jack Grealish congratulated Fer Lopez on his performance against Everton
Grealish was the standout performer for Everton at the weekend, and there’s an argument to be made that Fer Lopez was that for the home side.
He was only introduced in the 64th minute, but he gave Wolves a creative spark that was absent in the first 45.

In an interview for the official Wolves website, Lopez was asked for his thoughts on Grealish, and he had this to say: “He assisted two of their goals, so he’s a very good player and I like him because he doesn’t lose the ball and I think that reminds me a little bit more of Spanish football, where the players tend to not lose the ball, so fair play to him.

“At the end of the game, I went to congratulate him, and he also congratulated my performance, but he’s a very good player.”
High praise from Wolves’ new forward who Vitor Pereira rates highly.
Lopez will be hoping for a start in the near future, already eyeing his next matchup with the Toffees.
He explains: “I’m very happy to play against him, but next time in the cup game, I hope we win.”
Vitor Pereira should give Fer Lopez more of a chance for Wolves
Now that the window has closed, it’s clear no more attacking threat will be added to this Wolves side.
The signing of Tolu Arokodare means there’s cover in the goalscoring department, but for the two other spots in the front line, the quality hasn’t been good enough in the first month of the season.
Marshall Munetsi and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde have been deployed there, but they lack the kind of technical ability and creativity needed in the advanced areas.

Jhon Arias is slowly getting up to speed after his move from Fluminense, but Lopez should be given that chance as well. From the flashes we’ve seen, he could be key to unlocking Wolves’ attack.
