The French Basketball Federation earlier confirmed that the 20-year-old suffered a calf injury and will miss the remainder of the tournament.

However, there are some good news regarding the injury. According to Washington Wizards reporter Josh Robbins, the injury will not require surgery, and the team expects Sarr to be fully ready for the start of the NBA season.

Sarr averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 block, and 0.5 assists per game in two EuroBasket appearances.

In his rookie season with the Wizards, the French center averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game in 67 appearances.

The No. 2 pick was also named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
