**Yoane Wissa**spoke to the media about his character after he moved from **Brentford**to Newcastle United.
As someone who is "better when he's loved", the adulation of his new boss and a brilliant atmosphere could allow him to shine in a talismanic role that arrived late in the day with the Bees.
‘He analysed me perfectly’
Wissa would state his feelings about making a move to Newcastle for a fee of £55 million.
"So happy, convinced that uh it was the right move. Right project for me. I'm really happy to be here.”
He is looking forward to playing in front of a passionate fanbase at St.James' Park**** in a fortnight.
"The atmosphere is great. Whenever we play against them, the fans are unbelievable. Playing against is really tough. So, with is going to be something different. I will give everything to show them I'm the one.”
The prospect of working with Eddie Howe has also appealed greatly to the 28-year-old.
“When I spoke to the manager straight away I felt connected, and I think it was the perfect move for me.”
The striker spoke about his talks with the manager and how they have set the tone for their relationship.
“I think he analysed me perfectly. He wants me on the team to be part of the main characters I would say. I was impressed with this impression about me, and I want to come and I hope we can make it happen.
“I'm better when I’m loved. I know I can give 100% myself. This is who I am. This is the energy I bring.”
The **Congo**international indicated that he is a person who will appreciate the bond with the Geordies.
"It's difficult because at some part I'm shy, some part I'm not. For me the best thing is being loved. I love to work hard. I'm a communicator. I try to stay positive always even it's tough: I’m a really smiley guy.”
He arrives with £69 million man Nick Woltemade, who signed from Stuttgart. Both men attempt to compensate for the exit of Alexander Isak, and Wissa knows he is a unique type of central forward.
“I'm different than other strikers who's been here. I will try my best to fit the system, talk to the guys to know what they know, what they like, what they want me to do, what we can achieve together. I want to make something special. This is my goal: winning games and we have a big season coming this year.”
He comes into a side winless in their first three Premier League games, drawing 0-0 with Leeds United and Aston Villa. With a sense of what the team lacks, the striker seeks to be the answer to their issues.
“I watched them the whole season basically last year even the first three games. Now they sign very good players to strengthen the squad. I know who they are. I know what they can do. I know what I can bring.”
