New York Knicks newcomer Guerschon Yabusele put on a show in a crucial win for France, scoring a national team career-high 36 points (12/20 FG, 6/12 3PT), while adding 6 rebounds and 2 blocks to his tally.

His previous national team career high also came against Poland back in EuroBasket 2022, when he scored 22 points in a semi-final win.

Yabusele's six made three-pointers also tied his career high in all competitions.

The game went back and forth for the first three quarters, with neither team able to gain a clear advantage, as France entered the fourth quarter with a five-point lead.

The French team managed to hold on to their lead despite multiple comeback attempts by Poland, with Yabusele leading France to a big win in front of a sold-out Polish crowd in Katowice.

AS Monaco's Elie Okobo was also one of the key players leading France to a win, finishing the game with a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists.

France's defense was also able to contain one of EuroBasket's top scorers so far, Jordan Loyd.

The naturalized Polish guard scored 18 points, shooting 7/16 from the field and 2/5 from three.

Before this game, he had averaged 28.3 points in Poland's three wins.
