Leeds United boss Daniel Farke spent most of the summer asking the club to bring reinforcements to the attack. Most of the window was spent bolstering the midfield and the defence.
By the halfway point of the window, the club had secured their midfield and defensive positions with some solid signings. The attack however, was a whole different situation. Leeds ended last season with a thin attack, and were expected to bolster the area before the window closed. Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were brought in, but Daniel Farke wanted at least one more center forward:

Leeds have played four games this season, and have only scored two goals. One from the penalty spot, meaning the club have only scored once from open play. Jayden Bogle was the only other scorer. And in most of these games, the Whites have created enough chances to score, but have not been able to convert.
Micah Richards thinks Leeds should have brought in another striker even after signing Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin:
“Yeah [Leeds fans are frustrated] because the manager kept saying they were going to bring in some more [signings]. Obviously, they have got Calvert-Lewin up front who made his debut the other night.
“I think Leeds have looked really interesting. Energetic. But they’ve sort of struggled a little bit. Gnonto been alright in spells, Dan James has done alright with his pace,”
“I thought they might have got someone in up top. I know they’ve got Nmecha, but it seems like there is something missing. So they will be a little bit frustrated,” the former Man City player added.
The Whites are up against Fulham when they return from the international break.
