After a disappointing start to the season the international break is now here, where many of the team are away on international duty looking to contribute towards their nation’s hopes of qualifying for the World Cup. [Dylan](https://x.com/dylantubey) gives us a detailed look of which Wolves players are representing their relevant nations.
**Jose Sa**, who is yet to receive his first clean sheet this season has solidified a place in the Portugal squad behind regular Diogo Costa and Rui Silva.
Portugal kick off their qualifiers for the World Cup against Armenia on Saturday then followed by Hungary on Tuesday. Games you would expect Portugal to win, however you would expect Jose Sa not to feature in either game.
**Emmanuel Agbadou**, one of Wolves’ signings of the season last season from Reims, like Sa, has unfortunately found himself a tough time to begin the season. The Ivorian faces competition for the starting position in his national side alongside Evan N’Dicka and Ousmane Diomande, however Diomande is missing with injury so Emmanuel will be hoping for some minutes during the international break.
Ivory Coast face Burundi at home on Friday night and then travel to Gabon for their next fixture. These are important games for Ivory Coast to solidify their World Cup status for next year. From a Wolves’ point of view these are games for Agbadou to gain sharpness to see him back to the form we saw last season.
**Ladislav Krejci**, who is yet to make his debut in old gold after making his first appearance in the match day squad on Saturday. Krejci seems to be a set starter for Czech Republic as either part of a four or in the middle of a five where he is expected to play for Wolves.
Czech Republic face Montenegro on Friday and also Saudi Arabia in a friendly on Monday. This will be a good opportunity to see Wolves’ new man in action.
**Santiago Bueno**, who made his first start in the Premier League last Saturday since April where Wolves won 1-0 away at Manchester United, part of the infamous six wins on the spin. Bueno has struggled to get many caps for Uruguay due to the partnership of La Liga’s Jose Gimenez and Ronald Araujo. Uruguay face Peru on Friday and Chile on Wednesday during the early hours in the UK.
With Uruguay’s qualification all but confirmed a rotated team may allow Bueno to get some minutes in the tank.
**Yerson Mosquera** receives his first call up since his season ending injury he sustained against Aston Villa last season. He is joined with new teammate **Jhon Arias** where they will be aiming to confirm their status for the World Cup. Colombia face Bolivia in the early hours of Friday morning and Venezuela on Wednesday, where Mosquera will be looking to gain fitness to break into the Wolves starting eleven and Arias will be looking for a goal to get some confidence for the Premier League campaign.
**Jorgen Strand Larsen**, who has been in the spotlight due to Newcastle’s strong interest in the Norwegian, remains at Molineux after the window slammed shut Monday evening. The striker was named in the Norway squad but former Wolves boss and now Norway manager Stale Solbakken confirmed that Strand Larsen has been withdrawn due to injury. **David Moller Wolfe**, another new signing for Wolves will be with the squad and will expect to start at left back. Norway face Finland in a friendly on Thursday and then face Moldova next Tuesday as they aim to qualify for the World Cup since their last entry in 1998.
Another new signing alongside Wolfe who was brought to Wolves by “Agent Larsen” was **Fer Lopez** who is waiting for his first Premier League start for Wolves. He received his first call up for the Spain U21’s as they aim to bounce back from their exit of the U21’s Euros where they were knocked out by the eventual winners England. Spain face Cyprus and Kosovo. The player’s hopes to make his first Spain U21 appearance look to be boosted, with Lopez being spotted [training with the senior squad](https://x.com/talkingwolves/status/1962885776418492810?s=46&t=cR_xlaAKYXKxieE8CtYZtg) as per the request of national team coach Luis de la Fuente.
**Jackson Tchatchoua**, who supplied Strand Larsen with an assist against West Ham on his first start for the Wanderers, is a regular in the Cameroon set up. They face Eswatini and Cape Verde which are important games as they trail one point behind Cape Verde to fight for automatic qualification for the World Cup.
**Matt Doherty**, who has been a regular starter under Vitor Pereira until being dropped for Santiago Bueno on Saturday. He represents Republic Ireland as they face Hungary and Armenia in World Cup qualifiers where you would expect Doherty to be a regular at right back.
The most exciting of the call ups personally is for **Jean-Ricner Bellegarde** who represented France at youth level and has now declared for Haiti and received his first call up this international break.
Haiti face Honduras and Costa Rica as they aim for their second appearance at a World Cup since 1974 where you would expect to see Bellegarde as a regular.
**Marshall Munetsi** conjured up the assist for Wolves’ first goal of the season to set up **Hee-Chan Hwang** both represent their nations respectively.
Munetsi is joined by **Tawanda Chirewa** for Zimbabwe as they look to be heading out of World Cup qualifying unless they gain victories over Benin and Rwanda as they are yet to get a win in their group.
For Hee-Chan Hwang, South Korea have already qualified for the World Cup, they face two friendlies against USA and Mexico where it would be great to see Hwang start some scoring form for club and country.
Last but not least is Wolves’ deadline day recruitment **Tolu Arokodare** who has been called up for Nigeria ahead of Victor Boniface who also moved on deadline day. Nigeria face two tough games against Rwanda and South Africa as they aim to climb towards World Cup Qualification.
Arokodare netted in his last appearance for Nigeria and the Super Eagles will be looking for the same again.
Let’s hope our internationals can find some form and bring some confidence back into the team as Wolves face Newcastle away after the international break followed by a huge game at Molineux against Leeds United.
