Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Alejandro Garnacho will be a success at Chelsea.
There are some who doubt the 21-year-old’s application, but speaking to Blues supporters on The Overlap Fan Debate, Scholes said he doesn’t expect the winger to be a disruptive influence in the dressing room:
“Chelsea are almost the best of the rest under the top two or three (teams) and they needed investment in the right areas.”
“I think he will be good for you… I don’t think he will be disruptive (in the Chelsea squad). I hope he is! But I don’t think he will.”
Garnacho will have to fight for game time
Despite finally securing his £40m transfer to Stamford Bridge after a summer-long pursuit, the player is not guaranteed starting opportunities.

Head coach Enzo Maresca played Pedro Neto on the left wing during the 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday, leaving Jamie Gittens (who cost £52m) on the bench.
That suggests Garnacho has a battle on his hands if he wants to play in his favoured position on a regular basis.
What has the player said after signing for Chelsea?
Garnacho has certainly made all the right noises after completing his move to the Blues. Speaking in his first interview at the weekend, he revealed that he idolises Eden Hazard and the club legend was one of the main reasons why he “supported” the club when he was younger.
It does tally with what we have heard about the player’s determination to join Maresca’s team this summer. He is believed to have turned down offers from other Premier League teams and clubs abroad to secure his switch to West London.
Fans will have to wait until after the international break for Garnacho to make his debut. Chelsea’s next game is against Brentford on Saturday week.
