Wrexham’s summer transfer window has finally come to an end, with Phil Parkinson spending more than some European giants.
Wrexham were expected to splash the cash this summer, but few could have predicted just how much Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds would spend.
13 new signings have arrived at Wrexham, and we have witnessed an unprecedented summer of spending.
Wrexham’s transfer record was shattered on multiple occasions over the summer, with Nathan Broadhead now the record capture at £7.5million.
That deal could even reach £10million one day, with Wrexham striking deals few could have ever imagined.

Wrexham spending eclipses Barcelona’s transfer window
The extent of Wrexham’s spending has been pretty remarkable, even eclipsing some significant European clubs.
Wrexham managed to outspend the likes of Celtic, Borussia Monchengladbach, CSKA Moscow, Valencia, Basel, Athletic Club, Red Bull Salzburg and many more.
Amazon Prime have even posted that Wrexham spent the same amount as European powerhouse and La Liga champions Barcelona this summer.
MORE WREXHAM STORIES
Barcelona only paid fees for two signings this summer, landing goalkeeper Joan Garcia and winger Roony Bardghji, as well as taking Marcus Rashford on loan.
Amazon Prime brought their window out to around €27million (£23.5million), and claimed that Wrexham spent the exact same amount.
Well, that isn’t quite right – Wrexham spent more!
We totalled up Wrexham’s spending this summer and, based on the numbers in the media, Phil Parkinson splashed around £33million, rising to almost £40million, on new signings.
Of course, Wrexham will have structured those deals wisely and won’t have paid every deal in full this summer.
It’s still quite a remarkable window, and few Wrexham fans would have believed the idea of outspending Barcelona just five years ago.

Wrexham have struck a great blend in the transfer market
Wrexham and Parkinson are often accused of only signing players in their 30s, prioritising experience above all else.
Players in their 30s have arrived this summer, with Danny Ward, Josh Windass, Conor Coady and Kieffer Moore fitting that bill.
That is only four of Wrexham’s 13 summer signings, though, and Parkinson has actually brought in players with potential as well.
Callum Doyle is a prime example here, with the 21-year-old a major talent for the future at the STōK Cae Ras.
Issa Kabore, George Thomason and Liberato Cacace are all just 24, and the most prolific age range for Wrexham this summer has been 25 to 29.
Ben Sheaf, Dominic Hyam, Nathan Broadhead, Lewis O’Brien and Ryan Hardie all fall into that category, meaning Wrexham have managed to strike a fine blend of experience, potential and proven performers in their prime.
