As well as getting our WSL campaign off to a winning start, Renee Slegers will be hoping to set a new WSL record in the process.
We take on London City Lionesses in our opening game of 2025/26 on Saturday at Emirates Stadium, looking to kick off the campaign in style - and our good form on home turf has put our boss on the brink of a big milestone.
Should we earn three points against the newly-promoted side, our head coach’s winning run of nine WSL home games will become the longest following a manager’s first game.
Renee is currently level with Chelsea’s Sonia Bampastor, who won her first eight home games before a 2-2 draw with West Ham United in March.
Following Renee’s appointment in October last year, we made Emirates Stadium a fortress with 5-0 and 4-0 wins over Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa respectively, before putting five past Crystal Palace without reply in Borehamwood.
The north London derby saw us earn another 5-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in N5, before we were back to Borehamwood for a 4-3 victory over West Ham United.
That was followed by a 4-0 win against Liverpool, a 5-1 win against Leicester City, and a 4-3 victory over Manchester United at Emirates Stadium to take Renee up to eight, and level with Blues boss Bampastor.
Help Renee get the win byjoining at Emirates Stadium for Saturday’s 1.30pm kick-off!
