“Getting better and faster”–BenjaminŠeško hands encouragement to Manchester United

Benjamin Šeško is easing into life at Manchester United, having not had a full preseason with RB Leipzig.

The striker will be learning the Portuguese coach’s system as he picks up fitness along the way. In what could be helpful for his fitness, the 22-year-old is now set to play for Slovenia against Switzerland and Sweden in his country’s important FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Šeško has spoken to the Slovenian press about how he’s settling in at Manchester United, making it clear that he is slowly getting better and that the move should improve him as a footballer.

He said, relayed by Slovenia’s [Ekipa](https://ekipa.svet24.si/clanek/nogomet/reprezentancni-nogomet/68b80409aae1a/sesko-manchester-united-slovenija-svedska): _“The level of the matches is certainly much higher, the players and teammates are also at a higher level. After all, English football is at the highest level in the world of football._

_“But I am very much looking forward to the coming period, also because I am getting better and faster in every training session, and I am also progressing in my football mentality every day.”_

The striker underlined that playing in England was his long-held dream, saying: “_I wanted to move to England and fortunately my wish came true.”_

Šeško was also asked about the upcoming Manchester derby.

_“It’s true, it’s an incredibly big match coming up. There will simply be some pressure on both sides to just win this match. There’s still quite a bit to go until this match, but we’re definitely looking forward to a top-notch match.”_

It is clear from the striker’s comments that he is patient about game time at Manchester United and is focused on the process of getting better.

Matheus Cunha picked up an injury against Burnley at the weekend and this can hand Šeško more game time in the next few weeks.

With a game against Manchester City coming up, Manchester United would hope that their new Slovenian star has a good international break.
