Arsenal and Chelsea attempts for starlet revealed–Jorge Mendes potentially in middle

Kenan Yildiz has grown in prominence for Juventus over the past year or so, and the club’s local media cover Arsenal and Chelsea trying to sign him in the summer window.

TuttoSport today have details on the Turkish star’s situation, as they report Juventus have ‘erected a very high wall’ for anyone who tries to sign Yildiz.

The local newspaper states both Arsenal and Chelsea tried to reach a deal for the 20-year-old in June. This was met with firm resistance from the Old Lady, who believe that Yildiz is currently unsellable.

There is a suggestion super agent Jorge Mendes could have been behind the moves, as he has been trying to poach the Turkey international in recent months after the attacker parted ways with Leaderbrock Sports.

Yildiz’s father-agent Engin is now managing the Bianconeri star and there has been contact with the Italian giants for a contract renewal. The player is happy in Turin and Juve want to hand him a new deal, as admirers for Yildiz continue to grow.

Whether Arsenal or Chelsea will give it another go remains to be seen.
