The NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena have promoted Kyle Brunson to executive vice-president and chief ticketing officer.
Brunson has spent more than 21 years with the Hawks organisation, starting out in the role of ticket sales representative. He most recently served as senior vice-president of ticket sales and service.
In this expanded role, Brunson will be instrumental in shaping and executing the ticketing and hospitality strategies for major, marquee events. He will continue to oversee all ticket revenue for Hawks games as well as State Farm Arena.
Jay Sietsema has stepped down from his role of general manager at AXS Sweden.
Sietsema said he will now use the opportunity to spend time with his family and travel before diving into his next project.
Mohammad Qazalbash has been made the head of business development at Live Nation Arabia.
Qazalbash will be based in Riyadh.
“It’s the honour of a lifetime to continue my journey with Live Nation Entertainment – now focused on shaping growth, partnerships, and cultural impact in one of the most dynamic markets in the world,” Qazalbash said in a post on Linkedin.
Elsewhere, Abigail Pogson has been appointed as the new chief executive of London’s Barbican Centre.
Pogson will join The Glasshouse International Centre for Music – where she is currently CEO – and will take on the new role on January 5.
“The Barbican is one of the world’s most iconic cultural destinations, and I’m beyond delighted to be joining at such a critical and exciting time in its history,” said Pogson.
“I believe deeply in the power of art and creativity to enrich lives and communities, and I look forward to working with the talented team at the Barbican and its many fabulous partners to bring exceptional, relevant, and joyful cultural experiences to as many people as possible.”
