Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller marvelled at Florian Wirtz's transfer to Liverpool this summer as he admitted he is intrigued by the prospect of a move away from the Bundesliga.
The Germany international was linked to Manchester United and Real Madrid in recent months. Ruben Amorim's side had a central midfielder among their priorities to sign in the transfer window but failed to get one over the line.
The 24-year-old Stiller remained with Stuttgart, while his team saw the exit of former team-mate Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United. Stiller remains under contract until 2028 having made his name at the club after failing to break through at Bayern Munich, before moving to Hoffenheim.
A return to Bayern is not on the agenda for Stiller at this stage of his career. Indeed the four-times capped star was not interested in a transfer at all during the most recent window.
Instead Stiller's ambition is centred around playing enough football to earn a place in Germany's World Cup squad next summer. The player is in Julian Nagelsmann's current selection for qualifiers against Slovakia and Northern Ireland.
"I'm not currently thinking about moving," Stiller told Sport Bild. "I've discussed it with my management that this is out of the question for me right now
"I'm a regular and leading player here. The most important thing for my development is that I get my minutes — especially in a World Cup year. I definitely didn't want to jeopardize the World Cup."
The player was impressed by his international team-mate's blockbuster summer transfer however. Wirtz joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in a British record deal, until the Reds surpassed the figure when signing Alexander Isak.
"Basically, I'm attracted to moving abroad at some point; I thought Florian Wirtz's decision to go to Liverpool was cool," Stiller acknowledged.

Angelo Stiller wants a place in Germany's World Cup squad
Reports suggest the Stuttgart star has a clause in his contract that would permit him to leave for in the region of £35m. And Stiller does have an eye on one move in the future, though not one that will prick the ears of Europe's elite.
The Germany ace would like a late-career move to thee United States. "One thing is clear to me," he said. At the end of my career, I absolutely want to play in the USA, in the MLS. This plan, this goal, is 100 per cent."
