Our Everton writers pick who they believe will be the best signing of the summer at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Nine new faces rocked up at Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer. Everton have had themselves a busy pre-season transfer window.
The Blues were always going to be bringing in a number of signings to the squad, although with around £120 million spent on incoming players, the amount and standard of deals have surpassed expectations for plenty.
After a positive start to the season - Everton won three games in a week before the current international break - spirits are high on the blue half of Merseyside. And there is excitement at what the new additions can bring to the squad. But which player will ultimately turn out to be the best buy of the nine? We asked our writers for their thoughts.

I wrote back in June when the transfer links first emerged that a fully motivated and on-form Jack Grealish would be the best player in Everton's squad.
The question I had was whether the player who thrilled the masses at Aston Villa and played a crucial role in Manchester City's treble triumph in 2023 still existed.
And the answer? Everton have actually got the best of both worlds.
Grealish is undoubtedly a more liberated performer than the one who appeared shackled by Pep Guardiola toward the end of his time at the Etihad.
The fact that he already has four Premier League assists to his name and that he has the license to drift from his station on the left wing is testament to that.
But Grealish still maintains the 'pausa' elements of his game that Guardiola so encouraged and demanded from him at City - that ability to retain the ball and slow the game to draw defenders in and entice them to commit.
The best footballers are the ones who make the best decisions and, while it is early days and there will be tougher tests than Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves to come, the England international is currently proving why he remains one of his country's best footballers.
Quite simply, Grealish is a joy to watch at the moment. Long may his revival continue.

Everton have been bold this summer. So let's follow their lead with this prediction.
There are players who will immediately make a difference to the first XI. But the player with the highest potential in terms of talent and long-term impact that arrived this summer is Tyler Dibling.
The youngster will likely have to wait for regular starts after Iliman Ndiaye's brilliant form on the right flank. There's no denying the natural talent he possesses though and the different type of dynamic he will eventually give the Blues on that side.
Dibling's arrival comes at an ideal time with so many attacking options to choose from. David Moyes can drip feed him minutes throughout the season and even with a £40 million price tag, there is no immediate pressure on Dibling to perform. At 19, there shouldn't be.
We may have to wait until next season and when there's a potential Jack-Grealish-shaped hole in the Everton side before the England youth international is fully unleashed.
But all the signs suggest that with patience and some progression, Everton will have a star in the making on their hands.
