There has only been one real question about who would be a starter at one position, and Bears head coach Ben Johnson answered that for the press on Tuesday. That position of question was at left tackle with Braxton Jones being named the starter.

While there aren't many other questions surrounding the roster, it's more about who is backing up whom. Here's a look at the first unofficial depth chart of the 2025 season:

Bears' 2025 Week 1 unofficial depth chart

Bears' Offense

WR - DJ Moore, Olamide Zaccheaus, Luther Burden III

LT - Braxton Jones, Theo Benedet

LG - Joe Thuney, Luke Newman

C - Drew Dalman, Ryan Bates

RG - Jonah Jackson, Kiran Amegadjie

RT - Darnell Wright, Ozzy Trapilo

TE - Cole Kmet, Durham Smythe

TE - Colston Loveland

WR - Rome Odunze, Devin Duvernay, Jahdae Walker

QB - Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum

RB - D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, Kyle Monangai

Making Jones the starting left tackle was inevitable, but it will be worth monitoring throughout the see if the Bears will ever turn to Benedet. Burden is set to be a third string, but the hope is he will still get some playing time on the field.

Running back is the other position of interest, with Roschon Johnson and Monangai listed despite dealing with their own injuries. The big question will be whether they are ready to go for Week 1 or if Swift will be the lone healthy back.

Bears' Defense

DL - Montez Sweat, Daniel Hardy

DL - Grady Jarrett, Chris Williams, Shemar Turner

DL - Grevon Dexter Sr., Andrew Billings

DL - Dayo Odeyingbo, Dominique Robinson

LB - T.J. Edwards, Ruben Hyppolite II, D'Marco Jackson

LB - Tremaine Edmunds, Noah Sewell

S - Jaquan Brisker, Elijah Hicks

S - Kevin Byard III, Jonathan Owens

DB - Kyler Gordon, Nick McCloud, Josh Blackwell

CB - Tyrique Stevenson, Jaylon Jones

CB - Jaylon Johnson, Nahshon Wright

It appears the Bears will be having five in the secondary, but what if they line up with three linebackers? The one position battle of interest has been between Sewell and Hyppolite for that LB3 job.

Bears' Specialists

K - Cairo Santos

P - Tory Taylor

KO - Cairo Santos

H - Troy Taylor

LS - Scott Daly

KR - Devin Duvernay, Josh Blackwell

PR - Devin Duvernay, Josh Blackwell

No big surprises on special teams with Duvernay back on the active roster and the main returner for the Bears. It'll be interesting to see if Blackwell gets some looks in the return game.
