‘Well worth it’ - Alexander Isak agent fires fresh Newcastle United swipe after Liverpool move

Newcastle United supporters are not happy with how Alexander Isak and his agent handled the Liverpool transfer saga.

Alexander Isak’s agency has released a statement insisting “history” has been made following his Newcastle United exit.

The Swede downed tools all summer after making his intentions clear to leave St James’ Park. Toon supporters were taken by surprise after idolising Isak - the club’s top scorer in back-to-back campaigns - for three seasons.

Isak helped Newcastle qualify for the Champions league last season and secure Carabao Cup success - netting in the final against Liverpool. However, god-like status on Tyneside was not enough for the 25-year-old as he forced a move to Anfield.

Vlado Lemic swipe at Newcastle United

Vlado Lemic - Isak’s agent - sent a subtle swipe to Newcastle following the saga. He told talkSPORT: "It's nice when you have someone to be with, but it is even nicer when you know who you will never be with again."

Fresh agency message drops

Universal Twenty Two - the agency Lemic fronts - has posted on social media. They claim the move was “well worth it” despite Isak burning all bridges with his former club.

"The wait was well worth it,” an Instagram post read. “Officially, he's a Red! It's a very important moment in your career and in football history, and we are very proud to be with you in this new challenge.

"We are delighted to announce that Alex Isak is a new signing for Liverpool FC, becoming the most expensive transfer in English football history. The Swedish marksman stands ready to deliver goals, strength and exceptional football to the attack. Welcome to Anfield, Alexander!

"From dreams to reality, from talent to greatness. Alex Isak takes the biggest step of his career. Joining Liverpool FC is not just a transfer, it's history in the making and we are proud to be part of it.”
