Bryce Young’s Panthers Future Gets Bold Prediction From ESPN

Bryce Young’s future with the Carolina Panthers is generating significant buzz as experts weigh in on his potential. Following a rocky start to his NFL career, Young’s performance at the end of the 2024 season has sparked optimism about what he can accomplish in 2025.

ESPN recently highlighted Young as a player to watch, suggesting he could lead Carolina to new heights this season. After overcoming a midseason benching, he demonstrated resilience, ending the year with a series of strong performances that showcased his skill set and potential as a franchise quarterback. Analysts believe this upward trajectory could continue, making Young a key asset for the team.

Young’s financial outlook further enhances the narrative surrounding his future. With an estimated net worth of around $12 million, largely due to his rookie contract and endorsement deals, Young is well-positioned both on and off the field. His four-year contract with the franchise is valued at approximately $37.9 million, including a substantial signing bonus, allowing him to focus on his development without financial distractions.

The Panthers have also taken steps to bolster their receiving corps, drafting talent that could complement Young’s style. Adding a player like Tetairoa McMillan is seen as a strategic move to enhance the offense and provide Young with reliable targets. This support could be crucial in helping him achieve the consistency needed for long-term success.

Young may be staying in Carolina for the time being. This is predicted in an analysis by Dan Graziano for ESPN.

Don’t be surprised if … quarterback Bryce Young is in line for a contract extension next spring.

What I’m hearing: The Panthers believe the improvement Young showed toward the end of last season will carry over into 2025 — not just because of the way he performed on the field but also because of how comfortable he got in his role as starting quarterback. Coaches feel like Young has turned a corner in terms of his confidence and outward competitiveness. And now Carolina added wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in the first round of this year’s draft to a receiver room that already included last year’s first-round pick Xavier Legette and veteran Adam Thielen.

The Panthers might have a long way to go before being competitive (though maybe not, if their offseason improvements on defense have a lot of instant impact). But they think they have Young on the right track after a disappointing rookie year in 2023 and a rough start to 2024 that saw him benched for veteran Andy Dalton.

As the 2025 season approaches, the pressure is on Young to capitalize on the momentum he built at the end of the previous year. His ability to perform under pressure and lead the team effectively will be closely scrutinized by fans and analysts alike.

Young’s future with the Panthers appears promising, especially with the expectations set by his recent performances. If he can sustain and build on this momentum, he could solidify his role as a cornerstone of the franchise while significantly enhancing his career prospects in the NFL.
