The 28-year-old joins from EFL League 1 side Port Vale, who he has spent two spells with, once on loan at the beginning of his career. Sam began his career at Manchester United’s youth set-up before moving to Liverpool at Under-16 level.
Between his two spells with Port Vale, the left-back has appeared for several clubs in England, including Blackburn Rovers, Southend United, Shrewsbury Town, Oldham Athletic, and Sutton United.
Sam featured 22 times for Port Vale last season, helping the team gain promotion to EFL League 1.
After a delay in final paperwork coming through, Sam will join up with his new teammates for the first time tomorrow.
Falkirk Manager John McGlynn said on bringing Sam to The Falkirk Stadium:
“We’re delighted to bring Sam to Falkirk. He’s a player with great experience, real versatility, and he’s someone who can operate at left-back and at left centre-half, which gives us valuable options as we go through the season.
“He likes to get up and down the flank and we know he’ll add real quality and depth to the squad. I’d like to thank Port Vale for their help in making this move happen.”
