Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has been pictured leaving Ukraine’s training camp after pulling out of international duty.
Zorya Londonsk have a video of the Everton defender departing Ukraine’s training camp today after reportedly being ruled out with injury.
According to their information, the decision has been taken for the Everton defender to skip the international break after an MRI scan confirmed he had picked up an injury.
He’s now heading back to Everton and has already been replaced in the Ukraine squad by Dynamo’s Vladyslav Dubinchak for the clashes against France and Azerbaijan in World Cup qualifying.
The unidentified injury is potentially bad news for Everton, who were only able to welcome Mykolenko back to the first team for the 3-2 win over Wolves last weekend.
He had missed their opening two games against Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion with a groin injury picked up in preseason. That had seen him spend 26 games on the treatment table and miss the start of the season.
Whether that injury is the one which has led him to leaving Ukraine training remains to be seen, but he’s on his way back to Everton either way.
