_Hey guys, I live right in the heart of Eagles country. Everyone here seems to think Jalen Hurts is a great quarterback, but I'm always defending Dak Prescott as the better QB. Hurts is more of a running back who happens to play quarterback. His passing skills are nowhere near Prescott's. Your thoughts?_ **_–_ Robert Ryan/Bellmawr, NJ**
**Mickey:** Sure think you are on to something. Look, so many times it's all about the next flavor of the month and will explore this exact topic in Wednesday's column on DallasCowboys.com, people forgetting how effective Dak was during his last full, healthy season of 2023. Look, Hurts, and nothing against him, only had to throw for 2,903 yards, starting at least 15 games, and the last time the Cowboys starting quarterback in at least 15 starts threw for fewer yards in a single season would have been Troy Aikman in 1990, though, was knocked out for the season early in the 15th start, finishing with just 2,579 yards. Helps when your team runs for 3,048 yards, with Saquan Barkley going for 2,005 rushing yards.
