San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been known for his nifty footwork on the football field, but apparently he is pretty fleet of foot off the field as well.
In the latest video with his sponsor Ariat, a boots company, the Niners signal-called breaks out his line dancing skills in a very entertaining way.
If you want to experience the whole thing, and I can’t imagine you wouldn’t, the full YouTube video of it can be viewed here:
The video is called “Line-men Dancing” because it features Purdy dancing alongside 49ers center Jake Brendel as well as some linemen from Stanford’s football team. Get it?
For as beleaguered and criticized as Brendel is by some members of the fanbase, one simply cannot deny that he has some good dance moves. As do all of the linemen in the video. Great work all around.
One hopes that Purdy incorporates some line dancing into a touchdown celebration at some point this season. It would be a delight to see and would certainly make Ariat very happy.
"Line dancing in boots might be a little tougher than running a two-minute drill in football," Purdy said in the press release from Ariat, provided to Niner Noise. "I’m extremely honored to partner with Ariat. I’ve wanted to work with Ariat because there are many brands who change for the world and what the world wants, but Ariat is a brand that knows who it is and stays true to that. I feel like I’m that kind of person, as well."
In addition to being a very solid NFL quarterback, Purdy has proven to be a very loyal company man. In a recent video hyping the team’s new all-black Rivalries uniforms that they will wear in Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks, he said, "I could wear this [uniform] at Applebee’s in my Ariat boots, wear my John Deere hat, and driving my Toyota in there."
A company man through and through. Cha-ching. Even though he landed a $265 million contract in the offseason you know he’s still going to give those sponsors some love.
In a commercial for John Deere last year Purdy even offered people a job like a true man of the people.
He also embraced his inner farm boy roots in another ad spot for John Deere.
Plus, he is not the only 49ers quarterback to produce some commercials for Toyota over the years as Steve Young had some great commercials with the automaker back in the day.
With Purdy likely to be around for at least the next five years, we are only going to be blessed with even more ad spots. Who knows, maybe if this line dancing thing takes off it will be as iconic as the Aaron Rogers State Farm discount double check from back in the day. I can remember that without even looking it up which shows I am a good consumer who lets advertising pervade my mind.
Do not resist it! You know you want to line dance in your Ariat boots just like Brock! And you can visit the Ariat online store and check out Purdy's personal selections.
Thank you to Ariat for the share!
