Raúl could replace Ten Hag as Bayer Leverkusen’s coach -report

Real Madrid legend Raúl González is one of the candidates to replace Erik Ten Hag as the coach for German club Bayer Leverkusen, according to a report published on MARCA. Raúl left Real Madrid Castilla this past summer and is still looking for a club to continue his coaching career.

Edin Terzic and Marco Rose would be the other two candidates to sign for Leverkusen, per that same report. The German club are currently going through a rebuild process after their former coach Xabi Alonso left the Bundesliga to sign for Real Madrid.

Raúl has a very strong reputation in the German Bundesliga after his stint playing for Schalke 04 in the early 2010’s, and while he still lacks the experience coaching elite clubs, he showed decent potential during his tenure with Real Madrid Castilla. In fact, he coached Real Madrid’s U19 to conquer their only UEFA Youth League in club history.
