Aaron Rodgers is set to begin what could be his final NFL season in 2025 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. At 41 years old and turning 42 in December, the longtime superstar quarterback is headed for the Hall of Fame.
Heading into the upcoming season, Rodgers and the Steelers have just one goal. They're all-in on winning a Super Bowl.
Not only did Pittsburgh sign Rodgers in free agency to a one-year contract, the team also pulled off trades for DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, and Jonnu Smith. It's clear that the franchise is gunning for a championship run.

Some have questions whether or not Rodgers is the right guy to lead the Steelers. In recent years, the media has been very loud about calling him a selfish and arrogant person, along with the claims that he is a bad teammate.
Pittsburgh players do not agree with those statements. They voted Rodgers as one of their captains for the 2025 season.
Jaylen Warren, the starting running back for the Steelers, was one who voted for Rodgers. He spoke out with a very telling message about the star quarterback.
"The pen was writing Aaron before I could even think what I was going to write," Warren said. "he's a coach and a best friend all-in-one. You couldn't ask for more from a quarterback."
Those words provide a very strong outlook for Pittsburgh. Rodgers has shown great leadership, a calm demeanor, and has been doing everything in his power to lift up his teammates around him. He has also developed a great relationship with head coach Mike Tomlin already.

Last season with the New York Jets, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, while completing 63 percent of his passes. He will be targeting better numbers in 2025, but even those stats would be an upgrade for the Steelers over what they had in 2024.
Between his ability to play at an elite level and being a top-tier teammate and leader, Rodgers should have Pittsburgh looking like a serious contender.
Hopefully, that is how things unfold throughout the year. The Steelers have the talent to win at a high level, but they'll need to put it all together on the field. Rodgers is doing his part to make that happen.
