Benjamin Sesko reveals what he has noticed during first few weeks at Man United, it is 'very elaborate'

Benjamin Sesko is still settling down at Manchester United following his big-money transfer move from RB Leipzig this summer.

Ruben Amorim wanted to overhaul his attacking options this summer, and he made a switch at centre-forward with Benjamin Sesko arriving in a £66m deal from RB Leipzig.

Since arriving in Manchester, Benjamin Sesko has been slowly integrated into the side, with his only start so far coming against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.

But Amorim has been amazed by Sesko and his work rate since arriving, and there have already been glimpses of Sesko’s brilliance spotted at Old Trafford.

When the Premier League resumes after the international break, Sesko will hope to be more involved.

Benjamin Sesko settling in at Manchester United

Sesko is one of several United players who have jetted away this week for national duty. While with Slovenia, he is set to face Sweden and Switzerland in their latest World Cup qualifiers.

Ahead of that first match against Sweden, where Sesko will face £130m Liverpool signing Alexander Isak, United’s new striker was asked how he is finding things in England.

As quoted by Delo, Sesko said: “I have fulfilled my wish, every footballer wants to play at the highest level, which England certainly is at the moment.

“Training, matches, even teammates are at a slightly higher level, even the details of training, from mental preparation to nutrition, are very elaborate.

“Regardless of the lower minutes, I am psychologically very well prepared, I have people who keep me on the right path.”

While Sesko points out the step up in level, he certainly doesn’t seem fazed by what lies ahead.

Benjamin Sesko can get Man United liftoff in the derby

Sesko is yet to score for United, and he will want to get off the mark as soon as possible.

But United face a challenging week as soon as the Premier League resumes, starting with a fierce Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

There will be huge pressure on both Ruben Amorim and Pep Guardiola to get a result, and Sesko will hope to get his first start in the Premier League against United’s bitter rivals.

Straight after that, United welcome Old Trafford to Chelsea just six days later. United invested heavily in their new centre-forward because Amorim believes Sesko can be United’s striker for the next decade.

The Slovenian needs to perform on the biggest stage, and it doesn’t get much bigger than this.
