Arkansas will face Texas Tech in Las Vegas to begin the 2030 season.

The 2 schools announced on Wednesday that their previously announced 2-game series has been extended to 3 games. The former Southwest Conference foes will meet at Allegiant Stadium — home of the NFL’s Raiders — in the Vegas Kickoff Classic to begin the 2030 season.

Arkansas was originally scheduled to travel to Lubbock on Sept. 14, 2030, and then host the Red Raiders in Fayetteville the following season.

Now, the Razorbacks will make the trip to Lubbock on Sept. 16, 2034. Texas Tech will still play the 2031 game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as originally scheduled.

The 2030 Vegas Kickoff Classic is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 31. It will be nationally televised on ABC or an ESPN platform, with details announced at a later date.

Arkansas beat Tech 39-26 in the Liberty Bowl last season. That was the first meeting between the 2 programs since a home-and-home in 2014-15. They have met 38 times in total, with Arkansas claiming victories in 30 of the matchups.

With the SEC moving to a 9-game conference schedule next season, much has been made about the future of nonconference scheduling in the league. Teams are still required to play at least 1 game against another power conference team, and Arkansas has that requirement satisfied through the 2034 season.

A look at the Razorbacks’ future nonconference games against other power conference teams:
