Manchester United and Chelsea stars among big name Premier League players who could still leave this summer - Manchester United News
The Premier League transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday after a record breaking £3.1billion was splashed this summer. Big names and even bigger sums were exchanged with the likes of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, and Viktor Gyokeres amongst the list of stars to find new clubs.
A number of Premier League star names find themselves still at their respective clubs however, despite being linked with moves away for much of the summer. They could still be on the move, given that the window of other leagues such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia remain open until mid to late September.
With the World Cup approaching next summer, players may not wait until the January window for first team minutes, and may look to seal a move away sooner rather than later. Below is a list of key names who are still available on the market.

Andre Onana
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana during a Europa League match.
Onana has been much maligned since joining United from Inter in 2023. A series of high profile errors has seen many Old Trafford faithful lose faith in the keeper and his future has been the subject of increased speculation all summer.
He has lost his place as United’s No.1 to Altay Bayindir, and was at fault for both of Grimbsy’s goals in United’s shock loss to the League Two side in the Carabao Cup second round. In fact, both Onana and Bayindir could find themselves out of the No.1 spot following the £18m arrival of Senne Lammens.
Onana was linked with a switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray on deadline day, though a move failed to materialize. He was also heavily linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League for much of the summer, which could still be on the cards given the Saudi transfer window is open until September 23.
Emi Martinez
Martinez is the man United nearly purchased before opting to sign Lammens instead. Martinez’s future at Villa has been uncertain for the better part of the summer as the club struggle with PSR issues.
TalkSport has reported that Turkish club Galatasaray hold an interest in the shot stopper after missing out on former Man City keeper Ederson who joined their rivals Fenerbache.
Martinez was left out of Villa’s squad that lost 3-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace last Sunday. Villa are expected to allow Martinez to leave if they receive a suitable offer, with Saudi Pro League clubs known to be circling as well.
Yves Bissouma
Bissouma has less than 12 months remaining on his deal at Tottenham and is yet to feature under new boss Thomas Frank. Frank omitted the player from the Tottenham squad that faced PSG in the UEFA Super Cup last month stating disciplinary issues, and it seems there is now a divide between the player and the coach.
Turkish side Galatasaray were believed to be interested the player before his rift with his new boss, and could be boosted by his situation now. A move has far yet to progress though.
With the African Cup of Nations approaching in December, Bissouma will want minutes before he joins his national side Mali.
Raheem Sterling
Sterling was never in Enzo Maresca’s plans at Chelsea, as the Italian boss made clear when sending the player to Arsenal on loan last season. His time at Arsenal was forgettable, making just 17 Premier League appearances, mostly from the substitutes bench.
He has been training away from the Chelsea first team and is believed to favour a move to another London club. He had a potential a deadline day move to Fulham fall through, and was also linked to West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen were also keeping tabs on the player but never registered firm interest. His most likely option is now Saudi Arabia, with many Saudi Pro League clubs still interested in bolstering their squad before deadline day.
