Rookie returns.
The Buccaneers’ rookie second-round pick returned to practice today after a four-week hiatus.
Cornerback Benjamin Morrison was back on the field. Head coach Todd Bowles, however, was lukewarm on Morrison being ready to play Sunday in the season opener at Atlanta.
Bowles said Morrison was physically “limited” in practice today — official injury report comes out later — and also noted that Morrison is mentally limited. Yes, Morrison is clear-headed but Bowles said he missed some defensive installs and would need time to catch up.
Joe’s just glad the arrow is pointing up on Morrison. The Bucs will need him this season.
