The Buffalo Bills 2025 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens earned the primetime Sunday Night Football slot in Week 1.

After winning the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award, the spotlight on quarterback Josh Allen is brighter than ever. The Bills star’s personal life also dominates headlines, as he tied the knot with actress Hailee Steinfeld on May 31.

While Allen looks to bring Buffalo their first-ever Lombardi Trophy this season, Steinfeld could also bring home some new hardware. She recently starred in the movie “Sinners,” which became the highest-grossing original horror movie in domestic box office history.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film is already garnering Oscar buzz. The Hollywood Reporter‘s early award season predictions names Steinfeld as a frontrunner to earn a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role as Mary Louise. She previously earned a nomination in the same category at age 14 for her work in the movie “True Grit.”

If the decision were up to Allen, the Academy Award would already have her name engraved on it. While speaking to NFL analyst Kyle Brandt, the 29-year-old quarterback gushed over her success.

“I’m going to give you a movie and I want you to give me a review,” Brandt started.

“Okay,” Allen replied.

When Brandt named “Sinners,” the Wyoming alum immediately answered, “A+.” As for why Allen gave it such a high grade, “Because it combines a lot of different aspects of life. My wife absolutely kills it. And hopefully award season coming around, people make the right decision.”

Bills QB Josh Allen Admitted He Cried Watching Hailee Steinfeld’s Movie At The Premiere

While Steinfeld quietly attends nearly every Bills game, home and away, Allen accompanied the “Dangerous” singer to the “Sinners” premiere back in April.

“When we watched it at the premiere, I was crying at the end,” he told Brandt. “I was just so proud of her. I get emotional thinking about it, but it was a pretty cool experience.”

Brandt tells Allen, “You’re welling up already… The NFL MVP is the second most talented person in his own marriage. Is that a crazy hot take?”

“Absolutely not,” Allen answered. “1000%, and I’m okay with it.”

During an appearance on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast on Wednesday, September 3, Allen continued to hype his better half.

“It’s the best,” Allen said of being a married man. “Honestly. I truly, I enjoy it, I love it. I think there’s a lot of freedom in it. And you know what? We’re always going to be in the honeymoon phase. How about that?…

“Going to Paris or Italy for fashion weeks, nobody over there knows who I am and we walk into a hotel and people are lined up trying to get photos, autographs and pictures and yeah, it’s pretty crazy. She’s a freaking rockstar. I love her and I don’t know how she does it, but she does it.”

Steinfeld, 28, also has her next film lined up, starring opposite Miles Teller in a romantic sports comedy, “Winter Games.”
