3 Arsenal players who survived the transfer window but are already on thin ice

**The** [**2025 summer transfer window**](https://paininthearsenal.com/every-arsenal-deal-from-the-2025-summer-transfer-window) **has now closed and Arsenal were one of the headline names as they completed plenty of brilliant business to bring world-class talent to the club and ship off unwanted players.**

It was a period of change for the Gunners as under the leadership of new sporting director Andrea Berta in the market, the club aimed to boost the quality of their squad while also ridding the team of deadwood.

Despite those aims being well attended to, there are three Arsenal players that survived the window and while they weren't necessarily expected to leave, but are on thin ice as the season progresses.

1\. Gabriel Martinelli

Signing a left winger was reported to be one of Arsenal's top priorities heading into the transfer window, but no move for a genuine wide option ever materialised. Despite no real expectation for him to leave, Gabriel Martinelli's future at the club was a key factor in that.

Bringing a new player to the left flank depended on the Gunners selling the Brazilian or Leandro Trossard, but despite interest in the former from Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabia, they opted against selling him.

While he remains a member of Mikel Arteta's squad for now, he will need to seriously improve if he wants to stay in north London. His performances throughout the first three games of the season have not been up to standard and that has prompted fans to call for his sale. If he doesn't show improvements, he could find himself on the chopping block.
