The NFL is a quarterback league.
That has always been the case, but it’s now more evident than ever.
As such, teams without a top QB don’t have a realistic chance to compete at the highest level.
With that in mind, former NFL MVP Matt Ryan shared his honest thoughts on the most dependable current quarterbacks.
“Five QBs you can count on this season. Patrick Mahomes is in there. Lamar Jackson’s in there. Josh Allen’s in there. Joe Burrow’s in there, and I’m gonna say Jalen Hurts is in there. That’s five QBs you can count on on Sunday,” Ryan said.

It’s hard to argue with that list.
One could talk about other talented quarterbacks, such as Justin Herbert or Caleb Williams, but they still need to prove they belong in that category.
There’s also a case to be made for Jayden Daniels, who took the league by storm as a rookie, but he has to show that last year’s success wasn’t a fluke.
Of course, there are levels to everything, and anybody can rank those players according to their own point of view, but they’ve been the best quarterbacks in the game for the past couple of years.
With the season at hand, it’s time for all of those players to back it up on the field.
With the way they’ve performed in the past, it’s hard to envision a world in which these five fail to reach the playoffs.
