Northern Ireland youngster Blaine McClure is set to join former Linfield ace Matthew Orr at Nottingham Forest.
The 18-year-old former Boys’ Model student is at Rangers but has been unable to make a first team breakthrough.
He impressed on loan at Scottish League One side Kelty Hearts in the second half of last season, starting 10 League games, which has sparked interest from several clubs.
The talented teenager will move to Forest on an initial loan, with a view to a permanent transfer in the future.
McClure, who joined the Gers from Linfield in 2023 as a 16-year-old, has 12 caps for Northern Ireland’s Under-19 side.
He’s the second former Linfield youngster to link up with Forest after defender Orr made the switch this week.
McClure is one of the Irish FA JD Academy graduates and was named Player of the Tournament while playing for County Antrim at the SuperCupNI.
