ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney is “day-to-day” while recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained in training camp, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Mooney injured his shoulder during the Falcons’ first official practice back in July. The team said then that they would re-evaluate Mooney in a few weeks and provided an update Monday.
Morris did not say if Mooney would be ready for the Falcons’ home opener on Sunday. He was projected to slot in as the Falcons’ WR2 behind Drake London.
Mooney participated in practice Wednesday.
