If there's one thing to know about YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson - known professionally as Mr. Beast - it's that he has loads and loads of money, and he is not afraid to spend it (or give it away to those in need).
His latest endeavor is no exception, going so far as to purchase the entire NFL for a YouTube video. How wild is that?
"I Bought the NFL and put YouTubers on each team ahead of the Chargers vs Chiefs game being streamed on YouTube on September 5th!" he shared in an Instagram caption today (September 3), teasing his star-studded YouTube video set to hit the platform this weekend.
The Instagram post consists of four videos and two photos. The photos, which bookend the Instagram post, feature Donaldson and Roger Stokoe Goodell - the NFL's commissioner since 2006 - standing side-by-side behind a podium, as well as Donaldson seemingly "drafting" the YouTubers to different NFL teams in a board room.
The videos are where things get interesting, though, teasing some of the internet personalities who are set to make an appearance...
The first video features Haley Baylee - a TikToker with more than 15M followers - wearing a Minnesota Vikings jersey. In said video, the social media sensation is seen on a FaceTime call with Donaldson, begging to join the Vikings for his upcoming YouTube video.
The videos to follow tease that along with Baylee joining the Vikings, iShowSpeed will be joining the Miami Dolphins, CΓ©line Dept will be joining the New York Giants, and Marlon Lundgren Garcia will be joining the Los Angeles Chargers. Donaldson described the three Internet personalities as "speed," "power," and "style," respectively.
Needless to say, fans are excited for this crossover, flooding the comment section with their thoughts. "All eyes on Mr. Beast π₯π₯π₯," one wrote, while another added, "Bro is actually the content final boss π." "Casually just bought the NFL? π₯," a third spilled.
YouTube even made an appearance in the comment section, writing "Deal of the century π," while the NFL itself added, "Good doing business π€"
Needless to say, we will be keeping up with Donaldson on his various social media platforms to make sure we don't miss this collaboration. Game on, Jimmy!
