Jets Players Take No-So-Subtle Shots at Ex-Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets players didn't hold back when it came to their thoughts on ex-quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

As the team adjusts to life with Justin Fields as its new quarterback, players who were on the team a year ago bluntly shared how they feel about Rodgers.

"I respected it," one player told ESPN after Aaron Glenn informed Rodgers of his decision. "It was like cutting off the head of the snake right away and setting the tone, saying, 'Hey, I'm going to do it my way.'"

Others shared those same sentiments.

"I would say Aaron's a little -- everybody knows who Aaron is," center Joe Tippmann told Rich Cimini about the Jets ex-quarterback. "But Justin, he's a great, great dude, somebody you can tell is putting it on the line for the guys."

"Man, I feel like everybody's just making the thing about the team," Quincy Williams told Cimini on the difference between Rodgers and Fields. "That's the main thing."

There's certainly no love lost between Rodgers and his old teammates which makes Sunday's matchup between the Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers even more exciting. However, the whole ordeal feels like a situation where neither ex wants to admit they were toxic and only blame the other party.

Despite not taking a single snap with the Steelers yet, Rodgers seems content in Pittsburgh and is focused on making his old teammates pay for their comments. However, he won't admit the latter publicly.
