The New York Jets running back room is full of young, upcoming talent.
Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis have just seven seasons of experience under their belts, making the trio one of the youngest in all of football.
Hall is the oldest of the bunch and despite several good seasons, he is expected to split reps with Allen and Davis in the backfield. Because of that, Clark Dalton of Yardbarker has listed Hall among a group of players that could use a change of scenery.
"Hall could still be a viable RB1 for many teams," Dalton wrote. "In his first three seasons with the Jets, the 2022 second-round pick rushed for 2,333 yards and 14 TDs on 512 carries."
Not only has Hall been a workhorse in the ground game, but his production as a receiver out of the backfield has been among some of the best in the league. He's collected 152 catches for 1,292 yards and eight touchdowns. He is just as explosive as a pass catcher as he is as a runner. HIs longest rush of the season in both 2023 and last season was shorter than his longest reception of the season.
As far as potential landing spots go, Dalton mentioned the Dallas Cowboys as an ideal place for Hall to land.
"The Cowboys would be a good destination for Hall," he wrote. "They signed RB Javonte Williams in free agency, but he ran for only 513 yards in 17 games with the Denver Broncos last season. In the 2025 NFL Draft, they took Texas RB Jaydon Blue (pick No. 149), who had nine carries for 25 yards and one TD in preseason."
The first seven weeks of the season leading into the NFL trade deadline will be important for Hall to secure his future as the starter in the backfield for the Jets.
