Jack Grealish talks have immediate impact as Beto expects major Everton change

The Everton striker has spoken about the impact Jack Grealish has had at the club since arriving on loan from Manchester City

Everton forward Beto is planning to make changes to his game following the arrival of Jack Grealish. The two combined on Saturday at Wolverhampton Wanderers for the opening goal, as the Blues ran out 3-2 winners at Molineux.

Beto converted from close range after Grealish's header back across goal. It was the second goal in a week for the striker, who also came off the bench to convert in the 2-0 win over Mansfield Town.

While Beto has scored eight goals in 21 Premier League appearances under manager David Moyes, there have been times when he has cut an isolated figure in attack.

But following the arrival of Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tyler Dibling and Carlos Alcaraz this summer, there has been an injection of creative talent into the squad.

That is naturally good news for Beto and speaking after the game against Wolves, the forward said he is expecting more big chances as a result.

"My favourite goals are tap-ins and these kinds of goals," he said. "It's so difficult to have these type of goals, but I think this season, if I'm more alive, I need to believe that the ball will arrive – and it will arrive.

"I told Jack (Grealish) at the beginning of the game, I said, ‘Give me one today.’ And five minutes passed, he gave it to me, so it was perfect.

"I'm pleased with the result. A tough, really tough game to play. A really difficult stadium to play. I think the last two times that I came here, we drew last season, the other season we lost, so it's a tough stadium to play. We got three points and I'm really happy."

Since arriving at Everton on loan from Manchester City, Grealish has been at his creative best.

So far he has started two Premier League games and he already has four assists, two of which came against Brighton & Hove Albion and two more against Wolves.
