Had you told Leeds United fans at the beginning of the window if the club were going to sign 10 new players and spend more than £100m, they would have been delighted with that.
But having done that, Leeds failed to bring in an attacker or two following the 0-0 draw against Newcastle and there is concern about their lack of firepower. Jeff Stelling questions who will score the goals.
Everyone knows about Leeds’ failure to sign Harry Wilson. Leeds may have done everything they could do to get Wilson to Elland Road, with Robbie Evans claiming Wilson was keen on a move to Elland Road.
But Leeds left it late and had to rely on everything being perfect to nab his signature. Instead, Leeds will now have to rely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Joel Piroe, and Lukas Nmecha to score the goals this season.

Leeds player rejected a Champions League club on signing day
When Calvert-Lewin is back to full fitness, it is widely expected the England international will start for The Whites up top. Of the three strikers, Calvert-Lewin arguably showed more threat in his Newcastle cameo.
Leeds were not the only side interested in signing Calvert-Lewin. Now, Robbie Evans has told BBC Sport that Calvert-Lewin rejected a Champions League club literally on the day he signed on at Elland Road.
Managing director Evans told Adam Pope: “We’re very proud of the way we went and got Dom, who, by the way, turned down a Champions League contract the day we signed him. We’re thrilled that he’s here.
“A shared view from the manager, from the recruitment, and from the sporting director was that of all the options that were even plausibly available to us, nobody was a better fit to the objective of staying up.”

Jose Mourinho made Calvert-Lewin offer before Fenerbahce exit
Calvert-Lewin has been open in saying that he rejected offers from clubs in Europe’s elite competition. It is claimed that Jose Mourinho offered Calvert-Lewin a huge three-year deal worth £18m, at Fenerbahce.
It is unclear if Fenerbahce were the only Champions League side interested, but Calvert-Lewin now needs to respond to the hype. He needs to get fit enough to start, and the September international break helps.
But if Calvert-Lewin does break down, then fans will be incredibly frustrated. They will feel Leeds have taken a risk when they shouldn’t have done. Having failed to sign another, Calvert-Lewin’s fitness is key.
