Ex-Walsall boss and former Wolves Premier League manager axed with Solihull Moors bottom of National League

Matt Taylor, who had a 36 game stint in charge of the Saddlers, was handed the job at National League Solihull Moors in January.

In the summer he appointed Terry Connor as his first team coach - but the pair have endured a start to the new season with the non-league side.

Taylor recorded just four victories in his 27 games in charge - and with the club bottom of the National League he was axed on Wednesday evening.

It brought an end to his second spell at a non-league club, after briefly managing Wealdstone following his sacking by Shrewsbury Town.

For Connor, it was his second stint in non-league having spent time as an assistant coach at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Connor, who was a long time assistant of Mick McCarthy had a 13 game stint in charge of Wolves in the Premier League - which ended in the club's relegation to the Championship.

Since then he has worked in various roles under McCarthy and spent time as manager of the Grenada national team.
