Erling Haaland rages at club on social media as Man City star moans he 'can't sleep'

Erling Haaland has erupted in fury after his boyhood club axed three players without explanation. Bryne FK have terminated the deals of Jens Husebo, Robert Undheim and Axel Kryger. Haaland came through the Bryne academy from age five and made his senior bow for the club's first team at just 15.

The Norway striker delivered his trademark goalscoring prowess for Bryne 2, netting 18 times in 14 outings, though he drew a blank for the senior side as he switched from winger to striker before departing for Molde. The Manchester City hitman maintains strong ties with his local club and is demanding explanations for their recent decisions.

Bryne have offered minimal details following their separation from Huseb, Undheim and Kryger.

"We have agreed to terminate the contracts with Axel Kryger, Jens Husebø and Robert Undheim. We thank them for their efforts in red and white and wish them continued success." they announced.

Haaland has demanded greater transparency.

"Speak out Bryne FK. What the hell is going on?" Haaland posted on Snapchat. The 25-year-old was subsequently questioned about whether he should be resting.

"Yes, I should, but there is chaos at my home club and it makes me angry, so now I can't sleep," he responded.

Norwegian broadcaster NRK has approached some of the released players, though specifics about the circumstances remain limited.

Undheim declined to elaborate on the situation. "But never doubt that I love Bryne FK," he nevertheless stated.

Kryger gave a somewhat ambiguous statement, hinting at some discord towards the end of his tenure. "We chose to go our separate ways," he stated.

"That's how it had to be, and both the club and I agreed on that. I wish Bryne all the best and have had a great time there. It ended badly, but that's how it is sometimes."

Bryne currently sit in 14th place in the Eliteserien. They are presently in the relegation play-off position after 20 matches this season.

Bodo/Glimt, who reached the Europa League semi-final last term, top the table, leading Viking on goal difference.

The announcement of contract terminations coincided with the return of midfielder Rets Grodem, who last played for the team in 2016. The midfielder joins on loan from Yverdon-Sport, having also had stints with Molde and Valerenga.

"It feels incredibly good to come home," he expressed. "It is a dream for me to play in the Eliteserien for Bryne. I am looking forward to playing in front of the Bryne crowd and helping the club stay in the Eliteserien."
