Man United face rivals Man City in their first game back after the international break, so head coach Ruben Amorim will be keen to see his players returning to Carrington as soon as possible before the derby.
With the game taking place on a Sunday evening, it does provide slightly more preparation time for the two teams ahead of such a massive fixture.
Read below as we assess when each of the 12 first-team players called up for their countries will be released from international duty:
Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes
Portugal travel to Armenia on Saturday before flying to Budapest to take on Hungary in their second World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
Both Dalot and Fernandes are likely to travel back to Manchester the following day, with the pair expected to be in training on Thursday next week.
Andre Onana and Bryan Mbeumo
Cameroon play Eswatini on Thursday at home before travelling all the way to the Cape Verde Islands for their next fixture on Tuesday evening.
The two players should still be back in England in good time for the City game. Of course, Mbeumo‘s fitness (in particular) will be key to United’s chances in the derby.
Patrick Dorgu
Denmark face Scotland in Copenhagen on Friday. Dorgu’s side then fly to Athens, where they will play Greece on Monday night.
After Dorgu was left on the bench for the 3-2 win over Burnley, it remains to be seen if he will get his place back in the starting lineup for the derby.
