Devin Hester Makes A Big Prediction About Lions

After years of struggle and frustration, both within the locker room and among the fan base, the Detroit Lions have found success over the past two seasons.

Their tough defense and high-flying offense led to a 15-2 record in 2024, tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best in the league.

Dan Campbell has been an agent of change for this organization, completely turning this team around and making the Lions a respected team again.

The Lions’ success in 2024 was certainly impressive, and many people around the league believe they can repeat that in 2025.

Former Chicago Bear Devin Hester is not on that page, however, as he recently told Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams Show” that he isn’t riding their hype train heading into the season.

“I think three teams will make it this year. I feel like Chicago. I feel like Green Bay. I feel like Detroit would be last. I feel like Minnesota will go in front of Detroit,” Hester said.

#Bears Hall of Famer Devin Hester says three NFC North teams will make the playoffs — and the Lions will be the ones finishing in last place.

Not only is Hester down on the Lions this year, but he mentioned that he thinks they’ll finish dead last in the division.

This would include having a worse record than the Bears, a team that went 5-12 last season.

Adams was certainly shocked by his prediction, but Hester made sure to back up his thoughts.

In his eyes, Detroit’s defense was strong last year, mainly due to the fact that its offense was potent and didn’t leave the defense much time on the field.

He predicts the offense will take a step back in 2025, which could lead to their downfall and ultimately result in a season where they finish at the bottom of the NFC North.
