Report - What Stan and Josh Kroenke really do during Arsenal transfers revealed

Arsenal owners KSE backed the club heavily over the summer transfer window, sinking roughly £250 million into the squad with deals.

It comes as the club look to cement themselves among the very top operators in Europe, while pushing to win titles on a consistent basis.

The Gunners have been challengers in recent seasons under Mikel Arteta, coming close to winning the Premier League but just missing out.

While the manager has played a role in the rebuild, a lot of the change has come above him with a switch in recruitment.

That has coincided with a full takeover at Arsenal from Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke, as KSE guide the vision of the club, and have their part to play in transfers.

Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke only involved in sanctioning Arsenal transfers

The involvement of different owners across the Premier League differs depending on how they wish to run the club.

For Arsenal, there have been plenty of changes since the full takeover from KSE, but there is full trust in those they employ to run the club on a day-to-day basis.

When it comes to transfers, The Athletic reports that neither Stan Kroenke nor Josh Kroenke gets involved with the players signed.

They are informed of the types of players that Arsenal want to pursue, with their main role being the balancing of the money pushed into the club.

There does have to be justification for the money going in, but that allows for a proper flow of command from the very top.

For Arsenal, it’s that clear structure and plan that has got them back to the top, and they hope that will now deliver the success they envision.

After a summer of heavy spending, the Kroenkes have invested, and now the talking has to be done on the pitch.

Arsenal building towards sustainable business model under KSE

The long-term plan for Arsenal surrounds being self-sufficient, with the club able to keep itself running on its own business.

The Gunners aren’t quite there yet, though, as KSE want Berta to improve sale potential in the transfer window, which should help with offsetting fees in the market.

Another way of keeping themselves running is through repeatedly qualifying for the Champions League, as the revenues raised from it are monumental.

There may be other methods in the future, such as a multi-club model for Arsenal, but it remains to be seen if that is on the cards.
