Major change expected at Leeds United as new arrival planned

Leeds United have had a positive start to the season so far. After four games, the results have been a bit mixed but there are a lot of things the team and fans can look forward to after the international break.

Four points from a possible nine in the Premier League gives them a healthy advantage at this point of the season. And Leeds’ home form has showed that they can be a match for any side, as seen when they held Newcastle United to a goalless draw. The bad results this season have come in the drubbing at the hands of Arsenal and the shock exit in the EFL cup to Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds United set to hire set piece coach

It is not all doom and gloom from the fans, as the club are currently assessing a move for Josh Brownhill. The former Burnley man is a free agent in high demand after scoring 18 goals in all competitions last season. But the club will consider a variety of factors before making a decision.

According to Graham Smyth of the YEP, Leeds are in the process of hiring a set-piece coach. This will be the first time under Daniel Farke where the club are considering hiring a staff member who specializes in that part of the game. The club believe that they will need every possible way of scoring goals looking at the start to the campaign.

Leeds also scored 13 from set-pieces last season, mostly from Joe Rothwell’s deliveries. But without him this season, the club will need all the technical help they can get.

Huge news for the club

If Leeds do not improve in front of goal, then they will need another way to score. Hiring a set-piece coach is a very good move. Especially at this level where every club has a specialist.

The game against Arsenal was proof of how set-pieces can change a game instantly.
