Midfielder Libby Bance has joined Birmingham City Women on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Bance made her debut for Albion in 2019 and has made 44 appearances in all competitions. She has had previous loan spells with Rangers and Bristol City over the last two seasons.

She told bcfc.com: “I’m really excited to be here, I can’t wait to get started on Sunday. I know quite a few of the girls here and I’ve played under the managers before, I learnt a lot being coached by them when I was younger and I’m excited to play under them again.

“I understand the ambition of the club, wanting to go for promotion, and I want to be a part of that.”

Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic told brightonandhovealbion.com: “This is another good opportunity for Libby to get regular match minutes.

“She had a positive loan experience with Bristol City last season in the Championship, and we’re eager for her to repeat that. We’re confident that Birmingham will provide Libby with those opportunities this season.

“They will challenge for promotion from the WSL2 and Libby will be working with Amy Merricks, a coach she knows well. We will monitor her progress and wish her the best for the season.”
