DETROIT -- A Jahmyr Gibbs personalized combo meal featuring a pizza smashburger, tater tots and Sour Patch Kids, along with several local partnerships, highlights the food options at Ford Field this season.
The Detroit Lions showed off some of their mouth-watering offerings for games this season, with help from the team’s food and beverage partner, Levy, and 20-plus local restaurants filling out the menu.
“And the one thing we are really excited about this year is we partnered with (Lions running back) Jahmyr Gibbs, and we were able to put together a combo meal kind of focusing on a lot of his favorite foods,” Matthew Coleman, Levy’s executive chef, said. “So our marketing team did a lot of work and research with his team, and we found out his likes, dislikes and we put together a cool combo meal ...
“We’ve got a lot of new restaurant partners that we’ve brought in from around the city. And what we really focused on this year is kind of moving forward, is really fresh local ingredients, local neighborhood joints.”
There was a little bit of everything on display at Wednesday’s media day tasting event. We’ll run through some of the menu below, with photos and notes on where fans can find these items.

This item was created with Gibbs and was aimed at featuring some of his favorite foods. It starts with a pepperoni pizza smashburger topped with pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and served with golden ring tater tots (nice Sonic reference) and “Honolulu Blue” Sour Patch Kids.

Coney Flight (Sections 109, 126 and 217)
This Coney Flight comes with four options to pick from and is served in the nifty cardboard box to keep those dogs safe. The possibilities are classic, pickled onion and spicy honey mustard, crispy shallot and brown spicy mustard, and green onion with Dijon mustard.

One of the more creative options, and the first we’ll cover that comes with a special dipping sauce. The Pho Brisket Sandwich features slow-smoked brisket, pickled onion, fresh herbs, garlic aioli and is served on Rye with Pho dipping broth.

There’s nothing wrong with a classic, as this more bite-sized sandwich is served with Aleppo-spiced slow-smoked pork butt, creamy dill pickle slaw and hot and spicy pickles.

Paradise Street Eats (Gridiron Club)
This Detroit-based traditional south Indian and modern fusion-inspired food truck got creative with one of its offerings. They had Mango Lassi smoothies and loaded fries with butter chicken and other toppings. But the star of the show was the Butter Chicken Samosas stuffed with pulled tandoori chicken, cheese and served with a syringe (!) filled with their signature butter sauce (as pictured above) for injecting.

In addition to the special weekly drink offerings based on opponents coming to town, the Bloody Mary Bar comes fully-loaded with quite an assortment of toppers. The Lions and Levy are offering pepperoncini, cheese-olive skewers, pickles, bacon, full-sized and deep-fried jalapeno poppers, spicy pepper gummy candy and comes with a shot of beer for the ultimate experience.
