Report: Everton handed update on Iliman Ndiaye's future as Inter's stance over January swoop…

Everton did not sell many players over the summer transfer window despite the mass exodus in June.

David Moyes has seen his squad completely revamped over recent months, with the Friedkins putting their money where their mouth is.

There were, in fact, only two actual sales on Merseyside, with Youssef Chermiti joining Rangers on deadline day.

The other sale saw Neal Maupay permanently join Marseille following his initial loan spell with the French side.

Although there was a lack of money coming in through sales, it proved a big summer for Everton who saw major quality added to their squad.

However, there was interest from Inter Milan in Everton’s star man Iliman Ndiaye earlier in the window.

Everton may be wary of January swoop for Iliman Ndiaye

New signing Tyler Dibling cannot wait to play alongside Ndiaye, who has made a real name for himself on Merseyside.

Ndiaye played a huge role in keeping Everton afloat last season, in what was a seriously impressive debut campaign for the Blues.

According to TuttoSport, suggestions Inter made such a big bid for Ndiaye this summer alone seem farfetched.

It is claimed the Italian outfit would have struggled to stump up that sort of fee for the Senegal international.

With this in mind, it is believed that a move in January will, therefore, be highly unlikely from the Italian outfit.

Inter were not the only side to show an interest, with Premier League clubs also keen to sign Ndiaye earlier in the window.

Clearly, Ndiaye is catching the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs following an impressive season with Everton, but he is going nowhere as it stands.

Inter set to eye Everton target instead of Ndiaye

Ironically, the report suggests Inter hold a strong interest in the Lyon winger Malick Fofana ahead of the winter transfer window.

Everton showed their interest in Fofana, but the Belgian winger was only keen to make a move to a side playing Champions League football.

The Toffees find a number of links with the Serie A club’s search for a new winger.

Lookman departed Everton just a number of years ago, and he currently finds himself in demand by a number of European sides.

As long as Ndiaye remains playing his football at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton fans will not care who Inter land as their next winger.
