Insider Reveals Encouraging Trend For Kyle Pitts Against Buccaneers

For years, Atlanta Falcons fans and fantasy football managers alike have waited for Kyle Pitts to live up to his draft stock.

He was the highest-drafted tight end in NFL Draft history (No. 4 in 2021), and so far, the results have been fairly underwhelming.

That’s why team analyst Greg Auman wanted to share some positive news about the Florida product.

While he hasn’t been that productive against most teams, he’s actually been pretty decent against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

“Kyle Pitts plays well against the Bucs. For his career, he averages 43 yards per game, but in six games vs. Bucs, he has 91, 88, 73, 57, 48, 47, all above average. He gets a TD every 2 games vs. Bucs, and one every 8 games vs. everyone else,” Auman posted on X.

Either he takes things up a notch against his divisional rivals or the team actually gets him involved in the passing game.

Pitts was nothing but an elite decoy during the Arthur Smith days.

He used him as a blocker and blatantly refused to utilize him as a pass-catcher, even though his physical prowess made him a perennial mismatch in the open field and the end zone.

Then, when it seemed like things were finally going to change as Raheem Morris took the reins of the offense, it was more of the same.

Pitts hasn’t been used properly for most of his career, but, to be fair, he’s also failed to make the most of the opportunities when he’s actually been given a shot.

Still, he’s just too incredibly gifted for people to give up on him.

This will be a make-or-break season for him, and while he’s not going to go that high in fantasy football drafts anymore, the fans still hope that he can finally break out and be the superstar he looked poised to become.
