Grizzlies sign former Mavericks first round pick

Free agent forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper signed a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies after two seasons in the NBA.

Free agent forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, his agents Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta of Life Sports Agency told ESPN, per Shams Charania.

Prosper had several offers on the table but decided on Memphis as he enters his third NBA season.

The 23-year-old forward appeared in 52 games last season, averaging 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 40.2% from the field.

Originally drafted in 2023, Prosper was selected with the 24th overall pick in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks.

Before the NBA, Prosper began his college career at Clemson, where he averaged 2.5 points in ten minutes of play per game as a freshman.

After entering the transfer portal, he moved to Marquette, where his game quickly developed. He posted 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in his first season with the Golden Eagles and later improved to 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.9 steals as a junior.

Following that campaign, Prosper declared for the 2023 NBA Draft, turning heads with his strong showings at the NBA Draft Combine.
